Facility construction will consist of reinforced concrete foundation and floor slabs, masonry walls, standing seam metal roof, fire detection and suppressions, bath modules, training support areas, laundry, and storage areas. HVAC, electrical, and comm. systems area required. The project will include relocation of existing base ball lighting poles and construction of a new base ball field.

Name of Project FBI Secure Training Facility
Location of Project: Redstone Arsenal, AL

General Scope of Construction Project Construct a one-story, administrative, training facility with a secured classroom, and a 15’ high workshop, lightproof room and vehicle bay. This facility consists of 9,227 SF of air-conditioned space and 11,147 SF total including outside covered space. This facility will contain a space to process secret communications and data in a SCIF environment. A primary function of the FBI staff is to train personnel on special equipment and prepare vehicles for deployment. The facility also utilizes communication and data that is received and transmitted over SIPREnet and NIPREnet environment. An extensive communication/data system will be installed to include fiber and copper conductors. Other electronic systems include a mass notification.

We are installing an access flooring system. The ceiling will be 2x4 lay in acoustical tiles. The central core area will be renovated offices, Restrooms & break rooms. This job is scheduled to complete in December of 08.

Description - Our contract consisted of providing and installing a High Expansion Foam suppression system. The material that is contained in this system expands over 800 times once water is added to it. It also affords easy clean-up with water and is environmentally safe.
The Final Test - The last 2 photos are of the actual final foam test that took place July 23. This test took 1 minute and 15 seconds to fill the hangar to a depth of 1 meter completely with foam. Very impressive.
